I saw a rhizostoma similar to the one on you website on Penrhyn Bay Beach north Wales at easter. It terrified me. It looked on first sight like a spider-man rubber mask. It had eye sockets, a flap for its nose and a wide gap-like mouth. When I tried to turn it over it was very heavy, the mouth fell open and inside there was a white fleshy sinewy attachment with red veins running through it! I was terrified and have only recently gone back on to the beach. Kathy at seawatch foundation identified it for me.
