Plantlife walk at Southgate

Colin Cheeseman of Plantlife and myself will be visiting the cliffs at Southgate on Thursday 23rd July between 1pm and 4pm. The main aim is to inspect the Cotoneaster control work that has been carried out over the last two years. There is an open invitation for anyone interested in finding out more about this work, or the special plants that grow there. The visit will be very informal and we will be meeting at the NT car park SS553873 at 1pm. All are welcome.

Hi Barry,
Excellent resource for the Gower Peninsula!
Are you aware of plans by the European Commission to review already successful nature laws in Europe?
We're urging everyone to make their voices heard and tell the EU the Birds and Habitats Directives should be kept intact, not undermined. These pieces of legislation are responsible for creating a network of thousands of areas of conservation and have also been responsible for increasing the populations of a number of at-risk species of birds and animals across Europe.
A public consultation on the issue closes on Friday, with more information available here: http://www.tiny.cc/naturealert
Every voice counts - thanks in advance for your support!
