Last night's snowfall

A couple of inches of powdery snow fell last night over much of Swansea and parts of Neath, though once again the milder western end of the Gower peninsula and the Burry Inlet were hardly affected as shown below:

It all looks very picturesque Barry - I'm looking forward to a full day on Gower tomorrow with our group - my first visit of the year. The plan is to start at Oxwich, then Rhosilli. After lunch at Penclawdd and finish at Llanrhidian for the roost. Will keep you updated of anything that might be of interest.

Hi Neil - good luck, though could be the marsh will be frozen if we have another cold one. 2 G.N.Divers, 2 R.B.Mergs and 8 G.C.Grebe in the bay today.

Cheers Barry - with it being so calm, hopefully there will be some nice birds on th sea..
