Further to DC's sighting just up the road one appeared in the garden mid-afternoon. I'm also pretty sure I saw one last year in the garden also, however that cannot be verified. Certainly the indications are of a "mass emergence" locally.

Nice picture Mark. Incidentally, most of the walks at Afan Forest Park were shut due to tree felling. The Orange trail was fine. The longer white trail was supposedly open but we had to turn back because of felled branches etc across the path. Attempting to climb through was like being on 'Axe Men'!
