On Saturday morning Gordon Howe called me to say that he was watching about 50 Common Dolphins feeding off the Helwick (watching from Mewslade), with attendant Gannets plunging into the water all around them. There were just a few in the same area when I arrived around lunch time, the bulk of them clearly having moved on with their entourage, although a few thousand Manxies were scattered in seemingly endless rafts all over the place. I guess there must be good feeding out there, though what this is likely to be I have no idea!
