Spoonbills on the Neath Estuary

Mark Hipkin found two Platalea leucorodia on the Neath saltmarsh this morning (viewable from the A465 Neath roundabout). They were still present at 5.30pm on the rising tide coming quite close to the layby as the area of marsh receded. I only had my snappy and no adaptor, so was quite pleased with these results given the blustery conditions. Interestingly the two birds seen at Kenfig last weekend were reported as 2 adults, so it may be these are different birds, both being juvs. Glossy Ibis next please Mark...

Good shots Barry, considering you were using an old milk bottle and a rusty nail! Retro-digiscoping, like the time before very expensive adaptors.
Glossy Ibis, yes please. That would be very nice :o)
