Not sure this one is identifiable as may not be developed enough, but counldn't resist grabbing this specimen when stuck in a traffic jam. Seemed abundant along a ~2 mile section of motorway west of junction 37...

29 Jan 2011 Overton arable fields This moss had about 80% cover in an arable field that's been left fallow for almost a year. Pretty sure it's Barbula unguiculata (Bird's-claw Beard-moss), though margins only thinly and weakly recurved. Long-beaked capsule bourne on a red seta seems a good character.
